Peace…

…and sweetness and light.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your families. I hope your travels were safe and your days filled with joy and the smell of cookies. ( who doesn’t like cookies?)

Thank you for sharing this past year with me. I truly enjoy serving your families and look forward to working with you in the new year!

I wish your families a prosperous new year filled with hope and joy.

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas

I wanted to share this with everyone.

http://www.adventconspiracy.org/

I realize I am a bit behind in sharing...but I am hoping you all will give me some slack with this being one of my busy seasons and I have had a house full of sick people ;)

I also would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to serve you. I do so love my job!

January sessions are booking! I look forward to another year of watching your children grow. It does a heart good.

the ties that bind...

What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories. ~George Eliot

Thank you so much to this sweet family for sharing your afternoon with me - it was my pleasure!

...what little girls are made of...

If you're alone, I'll be your shadow. If you want to cry, I'll be your shoulder. If you want a hug, I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile. But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me.
~Author Unknown

The above quote pretty much sums up these sweet sisters in my mind they are just so sweet and love each other so very much. When I asked A what her favorite thing in the whole world was she said “my family” and B she just giggled that sweet giggle at that.

Thanks for all the fun yesterday!

With a little help from my friends

Oh my goodness I here I go again.

Bee Bee Mod’s month of giving!

More goodness…which translates into more giving…because well, it feels good.

I made a friend several months ago on flickr – a real sweetheart named Jen. Who happens to be the writer of a blog called “pass it on” as in "pass it on to others". She is one of the most talented, giving people I have had the pleasure of never meeting! :)

So in the spirit of her blog I am posting about her blog on my blog so maybe more people can be helped and more people can have a happier heart.

(yes I really am that sappy!)

This month, she will donate 50% of all her sales – she has two shops with adorable items they can be found

sisterhood

A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.
-- Isadora James

I love shooting sisters. Maybe because I have three of my own, or maybe because you can capture moments remembered from your own childhood with a different cast of characters.

Thank you Cheryl for letting me capture this moment.

Balloons and pettiskirts and ants…oh my!

These girls are just precious! Full of personality and truly a joy to be around.

They were super good sports despite some pesky uninvited guests!

Thanks so much for sharing your afternoon with me.

A girl and her dog

"I could discern clearly, even at that early age, the essential difference between people who are kind to dogs and people who really love them."

Frances P. Cobbe, The Confessions of a Lost Dog

Thanks for all the fun this afternoon Miss H!

carried away

Oh my where do I start? I had such a hard time picking three images for the sneak peek I ended up making a collage – and even then I left off a couple of my favorites. Such a fun and loving family – thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your day with me.

Something so Strong

Love can make you weep
Can make you run for cover

Roots that spread so deep

Bring life to frozen ground

Could carry us away

Something so strong

Could carry us today

This dear sweet family indulged me for this shot as I explained that I have songs in my head for certain people.

Those lyrics from the Crowded House song _Something so Strong_ are what I have in my head for them.

I am so grateful to have met this family and to have been a very small part of their life. Just meeting them changed mine.

They really do have something that strong.Strong love, strong faith and a strong family.Truly special people.

This is little Mr. O and his mom and dad - even though you can't see them in this shot ;)

I'll be giving them a proper sneak peek in the next few days.
